Estee Lauder Solid Perfume Compact WHITE CHRISTMAS CAMELLIA Rare 1980 Prototype
This is a Rare vintage Solid Perfume Compact (empty no fragrance). By 1-1/4 tall (overall with flower). This is marked inside with the Estee Lauder signature. It is gold toned metal, with a greek key deign that has red color inlay to make the greek key stand out. The flower is off white and solid made some a sturdy plastic type material. I did find some info that claimed the (gold tone compact with the off-white solid color flower on top like this one here) supposedly was only a 1980 “prototype” that never made it in stores and only Estee Lauder employees had access to them. Long-time collector who had a family member that worked for Estee Lauder” they say this is “. A PROTOTYPE by Estee Lauder that was never released for sale” Supposedly, ” The difference in this prototype from the released edition. Estee Lauder released the following colors in the Christmas Camellia solid perfume: (1980 frosted ivory) & (1981 red) & (1981 green) & (1981 frosted green). They did not release a white colored one. This is in good vtg condition. This is empty with no fragrance in it, but it does still have the scent of the fragrance in it which is quite nice.. I will consider offers- thank you. I pack to survive, but if they break it I will need pictures to file the claim online. However, shippers do not just honor claims online anymore with the photo’s only- now they tend to ask for an inspection of the item. Second, inspection with shipper.
